My training in nutrition, psychology, and integrative medicine allows me to approach nutrition from a more holistic point of view. I am based in Nelson and can meet in person, by telephone, or via a Skype/Zoom consultation.

My belief is that a balanced nutritional regimen allows both your mind and body to function at their best.

For most people, unwanted weight, brain fog, or seemingly unrelated health symptoms regularly boil down to not only what you are feeding your mind but, equally, the food and drink you are putting in your engine.

A tailored nutritionist coaching plan or consultation with me can work alongside your existing priorities to guide you back into balance and feeling great.

My specialty is helping people understand themselves and their body and the relationship between the foods they eat, how they feel, and how these choices may be affecting their weight, health, and performance.

Nutritional Set-Up Plan

This takes place over two sessions. In your first 60-minute consultation, we will discuss your goals and health concerns in detail. Your current diet, lifestyle, digestive health, and other body systems, such as hormones and metabolism, are all discussed.
Following this consultation, I will create a tailored plan or recommended guidelines for you based on your desired health goals or outcome. This will include nutritional, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations.

In our second session, we meet again to review and discuss your plan alongside any questions you may have. In this session, I usually encourage that we take progress photos or measurements to document your results.

8-Week Package – Nutritional Coaching

Learn what works for your body type and make changes you desire.
Following on from sessions 1 and 2 in the initial set-up package (above), we will meet fortnightly for 40 minutes to ensure accountability as we measure, tweak, and refine your tailored nutrition plan.

12-Week Package – Mind Body

Make the changes you would love to have both physically and mentally.
This is the most comprehensive approach I know to ensure lasting results and change that is meaningful, personalized, effective, and sustainable.

Alongside the objectives in the Mind Health foundations package, we will make the key nutritional and dietary changes needed to maximise your health and performance in all areas of life. We will look at what drives your behaviours on all levels and as they relate to your physical body and health. We will meet twice per week for the first 2 weeks for accountability, followed by 1 session each week for the remaining 12 weeks.
We will make the key psychological insights required to set you up for long-term success with your health and well-being goals.

It is common that I will recommend high-quality nutritional supplements to balance out nutrient deficiencies, modulate stress, or improve digestion. These are known as “practitioner-only” supplements and are of a superior-quality to your typical over-the-counter products.

Whilst this is optional, I do believe that it is challenging to get all we need out of modern food due to soil depletion, amongst other factors. I encourage my clients to consider “foundation” supplements, such as vitamin D, zinc, and magnesium, all of which will be discussed in your initial consultations.

I have been a Nelson nutritionist for many years. Alongside my ongoing education and passion for human behaviour and psychology, much of my training and background is in the field of nutrition science and the principles of functional/integrative medicine.

This approach looks to address the individual as whole. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I look to identify the root cause of one’s weight or health challenges. This is the most efficient and thorough methodology I know of when it comes to creating long-term health that is sustainable.
